A law firm in Sacramento is seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to provide counseling to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel employers on ERISA and non-ERISA retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and other benefits arrangements.
  • Provide legal advice on compliance issues related to employee benefits.
  • Draft and review plan documents, amendments, and administrative forms.
  • Assist clients with plan administration and regulatory filings.
  • Stay updated on changes in employee benefits laws and regulations.
  • Communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and colleagues.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits law.
  • Strong knowledge of ERISA and related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active membership in the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Expertise in counseling employers on various employee benefits plans.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and providing compliance advice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
