Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in New York City is seeking a mid-level associate attorney to join its Energy and Infrastructure legal team. The ideal candidate will contribute to complex financing transactions in the renewable and alternative energy sectors. The role offers hands-on experience with cross-border projects, client interaction, and an opportunity to work on pioneering energy transition deals alongside top-tier legal professionals.

Duties:

  • Coordinate transactions across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas.

  • Draft legal memoranda and perform legal research based on specific client needs.

  • Lead and review due diligence processes for major energy and infrastructure projects.

  • Serve as a key contact for clients, counterparties, and internal teams.

  • Provide legal analysis and solutions in support of energy-related financings.

  • Advise on structuring and documentation of debt, equity, and tax-based finance deals.

  • Support restructurings, joint ventures, and other commercial arrangements in clean energy.

  • Offer mentoring to junior attorneys and participate in professional development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project finance, particularly within renewable or clean energy markets.

  • Admitted to practice law in New York or eligible for admission.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multifaceted transactions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Familiarity with international finance structures and multi-party deal dynamics.

  • Professional demeanor, client-focused mindset, and collaborative attitude.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school, or LLM/foreign equivalent.
