Litigation Of Counsel

Job Overview: A law firm in Miami, FL, is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel with a strong background in product liability and/or complex commercial litigation, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate will possess superior research, analytical, and writing skills, with a science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) being highly desirable. Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry is a plus. The Litigation Of Counsel will be responsible for providing high-quality legal representation, engaging in effective communication with clients and colleagues, and managing various tasks within the litigation process.

Job Duties:

• Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, such as working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from a nationally recognized school.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.
• Direct and applicable experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm.
• Science background (MD, MPH, PharmD, Epidemiology) to be considered.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Superior research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Experience with the pharmaceutical and medical device industry and clients is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Certifications:

• J.D. degree from a nationally recognized school.
