Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Mid-Senior Level Financial Restructuring Associate Attorney for its New York City office. Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in financial restructuring matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and court filings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to bankruptcy and financial restructuring laws.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy and client matters.
  • Attend court hearings, negotiations, and meetings with clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial restructuring, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Proven experience representing either creditors or debtors in Chapter 11 cases or workouts.
  • Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws and procedures.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission by waiver.
