A law firm in Chattanooga is seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality legal services to clients, demonstrating a high level of professional capability and skill in the preparation of patent applications and responses to USPTO communications.

Duties:

• Prepare draft patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO.
• Conduct highly complex and sensitive client work requiring specialized knowledge in chemical science patent prosecution.
• Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
• High level of academic achievement.
• The solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
• Superb writing and communication skills.

Education:

• JD degree and admission to the USPTO.
• Advanced degrees in organic chemistry or chemical engineering are preferred.

Certifications:

Admission to the USPTO.
