Job Overview:
A well-established Charlotte-based law firm is seeking a full-time Corporate Attorney to join its general business and transactional practice. This role involves advising clients on a broad range of corporate legal matters, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of corporate law experience, with a strong background in drafting, negotiation, and legal risk management.

Location:

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Represent clients in business formation, structuring, and governance matters

  • Draft, negotiate, and review a wide variety of commercial contracts and agreements

  • Handle mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions from inception to close

  • Advise clients on legal compliance, corporate best practices, and risk mitigation

  • Coordinate and manage due diligence processes and closings

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on day-to-day business operations

  • Maintain and build client relationships through responsive legal service and business acumen

Requirements:

  • 5 years of corporate law experience in a law firm or in-house legal department

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently

  • Strong working knowledge of business law, transactional processes, and risk assessment

  • Client-focused mindset with strong communication and organizational skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active member in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar

Skills:
