Job Overview

A well-established law firm based in Pasadena, CA is seeking a seasoned litigation attorney to join its team, focusing primarily on defending complex wage and hour class actions under California law and federal collective actions under the FLSA. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative legal environment with significant autonomy across all stages of litigation. The successful candidate will be involved in high-impact federal cases and benefit from a flexible hybrid or remote work arrangement, depending on proximity to the Pasadena office.

Duties

• Manage wage and hour class action litigation and FLSA collective actions in federal court

• Handle all phases of litigation, from pre-trial strategy through resolution

• Draft motions, pleadings, and briefs with minimal supervision

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues

• Attend depositions, hearings, and court proceedings

• Collaborate with legal teams across offices on case strategy and workload distribution

• Maintain regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders

• Oversee paralegal and support staff contributions to ongoing matters

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California

• Demonstrated experience handling class and collective action matters

• Familiarity with wage and hour law, FLSA standards, and multi-plaintiff litigation

• Strong background in federal litigation procedures

• Prior experience in a law firm environment or federal clerkship is strongly preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• An active California Bar license required
