Labor & Employment Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm based in Silicon Valley is seeking a highly motivated Labor & Employment Attorney with 4–6 years of relevant experience. This position involves complex legal work across a range of labor and employment matters. Location:

• Menlo Park, California

Duties:

• Manage and litigate non-compete, trade secret, and employee mobility disputes

• Conduct internal investigations into employee misconduct

• Represent clients in single-plaintiff harassment, discrimination, and retaliation lawsuits and arbitrations

• Handle executive compensation disputes

• Provide day-to-day employment law counseling

• Draft employment-related documents including severance and non-competition agreements

• Advise on labor and employment aspects of M&A transactions

• Take and defend depositions

• Make court appearances and represent clients at key hearings and mediations

• Collaborate with legal teams and contribute to strategic case planning

Requirements:

• 4–6 years of experience practicing labor and employment law

• Proven ability to manage complex cases and interact directly with clients

• Experience in both litigation and counseling within the employment law context

• Admission to the California Bar (or eligibility to practice in California)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with a state bar, preferably California

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and analytical abilities

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

• Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to case management
