A law firm seeks a Residential Real Estate Attorney to join its growing practice in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player eager to contribute to a client-focused, fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience across all aspects of residential real estate transactions, with the potential for specialization as the firm expands. While prior residential real estate experience is a significant advantage, a strong work ethic, the right attitude, and a willingness to learn are key.

Duties

  • Manage all aspects of residential real estate transactions, from pre-closing to post-closing.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients regarding residential real estate matters.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, deeds, and other real estate documents.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local and state laws during the real estate transaction process.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in transactions.
  • Participate in the growth of the firm, contributing to its expansion in the residential real estate sector.

Requirements

  • At least 1-3 years of experience in residential real estate law (experience is a plus, but not mandatory).
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
  • Familiarity with technology and comfort in a paperless office setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the North Carolina State Bar.
  • South Carolina State Bar membership is preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of residential real estate laws and processes.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
