A well-established law firm is seeking a Residential Real Estate Attorney to join its Charlotte, North Carolina office. This full-time, in-office position offers a valuable opportunity for a new or early-career attorney to build a foundation in residential real estate law. The role involves conducting real estate closings, reviewing title documents, and maintaining effective communication with clients, brokers, lenders, and title companies. Ideal candidates will be organized, personable, and capable of managing a high volume of real estate closings in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Conduct residential real estate closings involving lenders, buyers, and sellers

  • Review closing documents for accuracy, legal sufficiency, and compliance

  • Perform title review and address curative issues such as title discrepancies or missing documentation

  • Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and title companies

  • Ensure timely completion and filing of all legal documents

  • Handle high-pressure customer service situations with professionalism and tact

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Recent law school graduate or early-career attorney with a strong interest in real estate law

  • Willingness and ability to manage multiple closings daily

  • Professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced legal setting

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the State of North Carolina (required)

  • South Carolina Bar admission preferred but not required

  • North Carolina Notary Public commission (or ability to obtain prior to start date)

Skills
