A law firm in Sacramento is seeking an Employment Single Action Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience specializing in employment litigation.

 

Job Overview:

The Employment Single Action Associate Attorney will have the opportunity to fight for clients and secure significant settlements and verdicts in workplace retaliation and harassment, unpaid wages, leaves of absence, and wrongful termination cases. They will draft legal documents, develop strategies, represent clients in employment matters, and conduct mediations and negotiations.

 

Duties:

  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Develop legal strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively.
  • Take and run depositions and meet and confers.
  • Conduct ADR mediations and negotiations.
  • Represent clients in employment matters.
  • Deliver persuasive arguments on behalf of clients.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Think creatively and strategically.
  • Manage time effectively.
  • Type 40 words per minute.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 2+ years of experience specializing in employment litigation.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Legal drafting and document preparation.
  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Deposition and mediation skills.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinking.
