Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Job Overview:
A reputable California-based law firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will bring experience in employment law and litigation, including wage and hour, PAGA, and FLSA matters. Location:

• Los Angeles, California

Duties:

• Conduct witness interviews and factual investigations

• Draft and argue dispositive motions including demurrers, motions for judgment, anti-SLAPP, and motions for summary judgment

• Take and defend depositions

• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests

• Appear in court and represent clients in hearings

• Participate in case strategy, negotiations, and mediation sessions

• Assist with trial preparation and dispute resolution as needed

• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant litigation experience in employment law

• Demonstrated experience with wage and hour matters, including PAGA and FLSA claims

• Prior courtroom experience, including motion practice

• Ability to manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution

• Experience with trial, arbitration, or mediation preferred

• Experience with public sector clients is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar (required)
