A law firm is seeking a Mid-level to Senior Labor Relations Associate Attorney for their Chicago office. The Mid-level to Senior Labor Relations Associate Attorney will join the firm's dynamic and long-established practice representing premier local and national employers. The role involves handling various aspects of labor law, including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, collective bargaining, and union campaigns.

 

Duties:

  • Represent premier local and national employers in labor-related matters
  • Handle labor arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges
  • Participate in collective bargaining negotiations
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients on labor relations issues
  • Conduct research and analysis on labor law issues
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, memoranda, and agreements
  • Assist with union campaigns and related activities
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients on case strategy and preparation
  • Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends in labor relations

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree
  • Must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence
  • Outstanding academic record preferred
  • 5+ years of labor law experience
  • Experience with labor arbitrations, collective bargaining, and union campaigns
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients
