Job Overview: A law firm in Macon, GA, seeks a skilled Workers' Compensation Attorney to handle all aspects of workers' compensation cases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for opening new files, maintaining client contact, investigating cases, managing medical care, and ensuring the timely progression of each case through thorough analysis and organization.

Duties:

• Open new files and initiate initial client contact; maintain regular communication.
• Fully investigate each case, gather relevant documents, and analyze intake information. Enter data into the database.
• Verify insurance coverage and liability issues; maintain contact with insurance companies.
• Managed clients' medical care, scheduled appointments, and explained procedures and documentation.
• Continuously monitor case status, review medical records, and organize case files for submission.
• Collaborate with demand writers and assist in file preparation.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of Worker's Compensation experience.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with clients, associates, and vendors.
• Capacity to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to handle extended periods on the phones.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistent attendance, reliability, and integrity.
• Basic knowledge of medical and insurance terminology is a plus.
• Spanish-speaking proficiency is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• JD from an accredited university.
• GA Bar Admission.
