Debt Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm in Albany, NY, is seeking a Debt Finance Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in debt finance transactions. The attorney will be responsible for handling an existing portfolio of corporate debt finance projects, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various legal documents, conducting legal research, managing deal teams, conducting due diligence, and supporting colleagues within the corporate group. The role also involves a high degree of client and opposing counsel interaction. Strong time management, drafting skills, and a professional presence are essential. The candidate must be admitted to practice in New York and have strong academic credentials, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Duties:

• Manage an existing portfolio of corporate debt finance projects.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commitment letters, loan agreements, security documents, and ancillary deliverables.
• Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Manage deal teams and processes from initial discussions through closing and post-closing matters.
• Conduct and manage due diligence for debt finance transactions.
• Support colleagues within the corporate group and take the lead on day-to-day tasks to ensure smooth deal operations.
• Interact with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• At least 3 years of experience with debt finance transactions.
• Admittance to practice law in the State of New York.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Professional presence and ability to interact with clients and opposing counsel effectively.

Education:
