A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will represent clients in insurance defense cases, including bodily injury and construction-related matters. This role requires a thorough understanding of insurance defense law and the ability to advocate for clients in court effectively.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in insurance defense cases, focusing on bodily injury defense, construction, and related matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, and trials to advocate for clients' interests.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies and tactics.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience practicing law, preferably focusing on insurance defense.
  • Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of bodily injury defense, construction law, and related legal principles.
  • Experience with law and motion practice is a plus.
  • Currently licensed to practice law in South Carolina; additional licensure in other states is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the South Carolina Bar; additional bar admissions preferred.
