Senior Associate or Partner - General Liability

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Senior Associate or Partner to join the General Liability practice group in Mount Laurel, NJ. The role involves handling a wide range of general liability defense litigation matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, with remote flexibility available.

Duties

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues to prepare well-reasoned legal recommendations.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, and take depositions.
• Conduct arbitrations and/or trials.
• Communicate with clients, courts, witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Travel locally for trials and court conferences in NJ and PA.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience, preferably in defense litigation.
• Active bar licenses in PA and NJ.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel mostly in NJ and PA for court or as necessary.
• Flexibility to work remotely from PA or NJ, with occasional travel to Philadelphia or NJ offices.
• Experience in drafting pleadings, answering written discovery, taking depositions, and conducting arbitrations/trials.
• Interest in liability defense, with preference for experience in motor vehicle and/or premises liability.
• For partner candidates, strong trial experience is preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar licenses in PA and NJ.
