Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Business Litigation Associate to join their team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business litigation and a proven track record of successful outcomes. Duties

  • Manage a portfolio of complex business litigation matters.
  • Develop and execute case strategies from inception through trial.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support cases.
  • Represent clients in court, including arguing motions and conducting examinations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support staff on complex legal issues.
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and legal guidance.
  • Stay current with relevant legal and industry developments.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of business litigation experience with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in complex business litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and strategic problem-solving skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice in Tennessee.

Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
