Junior Attorney needed for Garden City office

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior Attorney to join its dynamic team in Garden City, NY. The ideal candidate will work closely with a team of talented attorneys, engaging in pre-trial litigation, legal research, document drafting, client communication, and file maintenance. This role requires courtroom appearances, depositions, and direct client contact.

Duties:

• Conduct pre-trial litigation tasks, including drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
• Attend court appearances as required for assigned cases.
• Perform legal research to support case strategy and arguments.
• Conduct depositions and assist in discovery processes.
• Maintain direct and effective communication with clients.
• Draft and review legal documents with a keen attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of pre-trial litigation experience.
• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
• Excellent writing skills with a demonstrated ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
