A law firm in San Mateo, seeks a qualified Traditional Labor Law Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be crucial in handling various aspects of labor law, providing legal advice to employers, and representing management in NLRB proceedings.

Job Details:
• Handling unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (“NLRB”).
• Researching and writing legal documents.
• Representing management in NLRB elections.
• Providing legal advice to employers on union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreements.
• Negotiating and/or providing legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreements.
• Handling grievance, arbitration, and unfair labor practice proceedings.
• Obtaining mass picketing injunctions.
• Advising employers on federal and wage and hour issues, leave management, disability accommodating issues, and other workplace matters.
• Reviewing handbooks, policies, and forms for compliance with federal and state law.
• Reviewing compensation, commission, and bonus plans.
• Conducting management training on labor relations, federal and workplace issues, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.
• Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned.

Requirements:
• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• 3 years of experience in advice work as an attorney.
• Traditional labor experience is preferred.
• Experience in federal and/or advice and counsel work is preferred.
• Bar Admission is required.
• Understanding of current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques is preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education and Certifications:
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Bar Admission.
