Job Overview

A law firm seeks a labor and employment attorney to join its team in New York. This non-partnership track position offers benefits eligibility and a billable hour goal of 1500-1800 hours. Telecommuting from a home office in New York or New Jersey may be considered.

Duties

• Manage and run employment litigation cases.
• Communicate and negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Argue motions in court effectively.
• Advise clients directly on employment matters.
• Manage deadlines and case dockets efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of employment litigation and counseling experience.
• Extensive litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with traditional labor law is a plus.
• New Jersey bar membership required.
• New York bar membership preferred, required within one year of employment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar membership in New Jersey.
• Bar membership in New York preferred.
