Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Healthcare Transactional Counsel to join their team. Duties:

  • Handle complex healthcare transactional matters, with a primary focus on private equity transactions within the healthcare industry.
  • Provide legal counsel, guidance, and strategic advice to clients on various healthcare-related issues and transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to healthcare transactions.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
  • Stay current on healthcare laws, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of transactional legal experience.
  • Strong interest in and experience with healthcare transactional work, particularly in private equity transactions.
  • Additional experience in complementary areas of law is a plus.
  • Previous employment in a sophisticated law firm environment.
  • Specific healthcare industry experience is highly favored.
  • Exceptional academic credentials, including a law degree from an accredited institution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active admission to practice in the District of Columbia.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in the District of Columbia.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
  • Strong transactional and contract drafting skills.
  • Legal research and analysis.
  • Client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.
