A law firm is seeking a Trial Attorney for their Palo Alto office. The attorney will play a critical role in counseling clients and representing them in elder law and general business cases. The ideal candidate will possess extensive litigation experience, including first-chair trial experience, and will demonstrate proficiency in all phases of discovery, motion practice, and trial advocacy. Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

 

Duties:

  • Counsel clients on elder law and general business matters.
  • Represent clients in trial proceedings, including first-chair trial experience.
  • Conduct all phases of discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
  • Independently and collaboratively draft and argue motions.
  • Think creatively and strategically to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain excellent organizational skills and a positive attitude.
  • Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of California.
  • 8-10 years of litigation experience.
  • Extensive first-chair trial experience.
  • Proficiency in all phases of discovery.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Creative and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Great organizational skills and positive attitude.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in the State of California.
