Family Law Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join their San Jose, CA team. The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of assigned cases, including drafting pleadings, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, attending court hearings, and completing case preparation.

Duties:

• Manage all aspects of assigned cases from initiation to resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences
• Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials when necessary
• Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and client representation
• Maintain organized case files and documentation

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience practicing family law
• Admission to the California State Bar
• Strong client communication skills
• Excellent research and writing abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing a caseload of family law matters
• Familiarity with relevant legal software and databases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
