Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active NY State Bar license. They should possess a minimum of one year of litigation experience in commercial law, with a focus on contract disputes, partnership disputes, bankruptcy litigation, class actions, securities litigation, and consumer protection. Previous employment at a premier law firm and successful completion of a Federal Clerkship are advantageous.

Duties:

• Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support litigation efforts.
• Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to develop and execute case strategies.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, and negotiations.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and advocacy.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active NY State Bar license.
• Minimum of one year of litigation experience in commercial law practice within NY.
• Prior employment at a premier law firm is a plus.
• Previous experience as a Paralegal or Case Manager is desired.
• Successful completion of a Federal Clerkship is preferred.
• Involvement in Legal Law Journal/Periodical while in Law School is a plus.
• Exceptional academic record is preferred.
• Excellent writing skills are a plus, as demonstrated by a writing sample.
• Proficiency in end-to-end case management and a comprehensive understanding of the legal process are desired.
