A law firm in Washington D.C. seeks a Mid-level IP Tech Patent Litigation Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field. Familiarity with source code is preferred. Excellent academic credentials and references are required, and candidates must be currently licensed to practice law in DC or eligible to become licensed.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in patent litigation matters before PTAB/IPR, district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex intellectual property issues.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to patent litigation cases.
  • Assist in deposition preparation, witness interviews, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategies.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation, and/or ITC proceedings.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field.
  • Preferred familiarity with source code.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputable institution.
  • Current license to practice law in DC or eligibility for licensure.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a similar field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
