A law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney for their New York City office.

Job Overview:

The Real Estate Associate Attorney will primarily handle commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, purchase & sale, and leasing of commercial real properties.

Duties:

  • Conducted legal research and analysis on real estate matters.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, leases, and deeds.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and conditions for real estate transactions.
  • Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients regarding real estate matters.
  • Participate in due diligence processes for real estate transactions.
  • Represent clients in real estate transactions and related proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB, JD, or equivalent).
  • Admitted to practice law in New York.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate law.
  • Experience with acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, purchase & sale, and leasing of commercial real properties.
  • A background in a large law firm setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with real estate finance and development concepts is advantageous.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB, JD, or equivalent).

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice law in New York.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent drafting and reviewing abilities for legal documents.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Ability to provide clear and effective legal counsel.
  • Proficiency in due diligence processes for real estate transactions.
  • Communication skills for effectively representing clients and interacting with colleagues and clients.
