A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a Real Estate Attorney with 7+ years of commercial real estate experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of DC real estate law and significant experience in commercial real estate transactions. Experience in real estate finance and/or real estate development is a plus. Excellent organizational and drafting skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines, are required. Portable business is welcome. Admission to practice in the District of Columbia is required, with admission to practice in Virginia considered a strong plus.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation on commercial real estate transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to real estate matters.
  • Draft and review real estate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Assist clients in negotiations and due diligence processes.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on real estate issues.
  • Handle closings and facilitate real estate transactions.
  • Maintain client relationships and manage client expectations.

 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of commercial real estate experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of DC real estate law.
  • Experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Experience in real estate finance and/or real estate development (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and drafting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Portable business is welcome.
  • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia is required.
  • Admission to practice in Virginia is a strong plus.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia.
