Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking a midlevel Asset and Corporate Finance Associate to join its dynamic team. This position is ideal for an attorney with at least three years of experience in leveraged finance, asset finance (including real estate finance), structured finance, and/or loan workouts. The role offers opportunities to work with national and international clients on complex financing transactions and provides mentorship from experienced attorneys.

Location:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on a wide range of financing transactions, including asset finance, leveraged finance, and loan workouts.
  • Assist with structuring and negotiating complex finance deals.
  • Represent lenders, borrowers, servicers, and other market participants in financing transactions.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across various offices to meet client needs.
  • Take increasing responsibility for client relationships and business development.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality legal solutions.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in asset and corporate finance, with a focus on leveraged finance, asset finance, or loan workouts.
  • Experience in structured finance and real estate finance is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
  • Strong academic credentials and a commitment to providing high-quality client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the state bar of the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.

Skills:

  • Expertise in asset finance, leveraged finance, and loan workouts.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage complex transactions and prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
