Mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, DC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-level Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience and a strong background in technological or scientific fields. The role requires exemplary research capabilities, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to represent clients in all stages of litigation, including pre-filing investigations through appeal. The candidate should have experience in various types of intellectual property disputes, such as patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, and copyright infringement, and experience before the PTAB. A very strong academic record is required.

Duties:

• Conduct pre-filing investigations and pre-suit due diligence investigations.
• Develop case strategies and manage complex discovery and discovery negotiations.
• Assist in taking and defending depositions.
• Argue evidentiary motions, claim construction, and dispositive motions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, pre-trial briefings, and appeal briefs.
• Represent clients in all stages of litigation from pre-filing through appeal.
• Litigate various types of intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, and copyright infringement.

Requirements:

• 3-6 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
• An undergraduate degree or an advanced degree in a technological or scientific field is preferred.
• Strong research capabilities and exemplary writing skills.
• Experience representing clients in all stages of litigation, from pre-filing investigations through appeals.
• Experience managing complex discovery and discovery negotiations.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience arguing evidentiary motions, claim construction, and dispositive motions.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, pre-trial briefings, and appeal briefs.
• Experience litigating various types of intellectual property disputes, including patent infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, and copyright infringement.
• Experience before the PTAB is preferred.
• Very strong academic record.

Education:
