Job Overview:

The Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney will play a pivotal role in the law firm's real estate practice, handling diverse commercial transactions and providing legal expertise in development, purchases and sales, real estate secured loans, modification and workout documents, leases, as well as conducting thorough due diligence work. The candidate is expected to leverage their experience in navigating and closing various real estate transactions.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate documents pertaining to commercial real estate transactions.
  • Manage the full spectrum of tasks related to development, purchases and sales, real estate secured loans, modification and workout documents, and leases.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence work for real estate transactions.
  • Effectively close real estate transactions and ensure all legal aspects are addressed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions.
  • Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating a variety of real estate documents.
  • Strong understanding of real estate secured loans, modification, and workout documents.
  • Previous experience in successfully closing real estate transactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Illinois.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
