Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to assist in managing a caseload primarily of workers’ compensation matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience and must be proficient in handling cases through trial, including depositions, oral arguments, hearings, negotiations, and client reporting. The candidate should be capable of handling appearances and assignments with minimal supervision and must be licensed to practice law in California, with additional licensure in other states being a plus.

Duties:

• Assist in managing a caseload predominantly comprising workers’ compensation matters.
• Handle cases through trial, including taking depositions, oral arguments, and attendance at hearings.
• Negotiate settlements and provide regular reporting to clients.
• Handle appearances and assignments with minimal or no supervision.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in insurance defense, particularly in workers’ compensation.
• Proficiency in handling workers’ compensation cases through trial.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Currently licensed to practice law in California; additional licensure in other states is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• Additional licensure in other states is advantageous.
