A law firm seeks a Labor And Employment Associate Attorney for their Denver, CO office.

Job Overview:

The Labor And Employment Associate Attorney will counsel public and private employers on various employment issues, including drafting workplace policies, conducting employee training, and advising on day-to-day employment matters. The role requires 2-4 years of experience and expertise in litigating employment disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. Additionally, experience with traditional labor issues and admission to the Colorado Bar are preferred.

Duties:

• Drafting workplace policies and procedures
• Conducting employee training on legal compliance
• Counseling public and private employers on day-to-day employment issues
• Researching and drafting memoranda, pleadings, discovery, and motions
• Handling litigation matters related to employment disputes
• Providing legal advice on unfair labor practices and collective bargaining agreements

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law
• Experience with a broad range of employment issues
• Litigation experience in researching and drafting legal documents
• Detail-oriented with a solid work ethic
• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Colorado Bar
• Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills
• Outstanding judgment and ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to develop and implement legal strategies
• Admission to other State Bars, particularly California, is a plus
