A law firm in Pittsburgh is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney with 5+ years of civil trial work experience, preferably with expertise in litigating a broad range of personal injury cases including auto accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, etc. The ideal candidate will manage a case load consisting of both litigation and pre-litigation cases, effectively advocating on behalf of clients and providing proactive leadership to support staff.

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage a caseload comprising both litigation and pre-litigation cases.
  • Complete Preliminary Case Reviews in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze potential case outcomes and collaborate with peers and leadership to develop effective strategies.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and role modeling to direct reports and support staff.
  • Oversee research and preparation of legal documents, including complaints, motions, pleadings, briefs, memos, and correspondence.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including court appearances, presentations, and oral arguments.
  • Provide periodic on-call duty to assess and speak with potential clients during evening hours and weekends.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • Authorization to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of civil trial work experience.
  • Preference for 5+ years of experience litigating various personal injury cases, such as auto accidents, trucking accidents, slip and fall incidents, etc.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills.
  • Excellent communication and advocacy abilities.
  • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize tasks.
  • Leadership and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.

 

Certifications:

Admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
