A law firm is seeking a Senior Government Contracts Associate Attorney for their Washington, DC office. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in providing strategic guidance and expertise across various practices, including energy transition/renewables infrastructure, white-collar investigations, space-related initiatives, compliance counseling, and oil and gas regulatory matters.

Job Overview:

  • Provide strategic guidance and expertise in government contracts and federal funding programs.
  • Manage large projects focusing on federal regulatory compliance, particularly in the energy sector.
  • Work collaboratively within a diverse group of practices to provide comprehensive legal support.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on government contracts and federal funding programs.
  • Conducted legal research, drafted legal documents, and provided analysis on complex regulatory issues.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other professionals to develop and implement strategic solutions for clients.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of specialized experience in government contracts or federal funding programs for infrastructure projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large projects focusing on federal regulatory compliance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be licensed in D.C. or eligible to waive into the D.C. Bar.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in relevant legal software and tools.
