A law firm seeks a talented associate to join its Finance practice in Houston. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in debt finance transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, leveraged loans, and revolving credit facilities. Familiarity with energy-related transactions is advantageous but not mandatory.

Duties

  • Assist in structuring and negotiating debt finance transactions, focusing on syndicated credit facilities and leveraged loans.
  • Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents related to financing arrangements.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support financing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of financing transactions.
  • Stay updated on market trends and developments in the finance sector, particularly related to energy transactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information throughout the transaction process.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in debt finance transactions.
  • Strong understanding of syndicated credit facilities, leveraged loans, and revolving credit facilities.
  • Experience with energy-related transactions is a plus, though not required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance is preferred.

Certifications

  • Must be licensed to practice law in TX.
