A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Debt Finance Associate Attorney for their Houston, TX office.

 

Job Overview:

  • Contribute significantly to the growth of the private credit, acquisition financing, special situations, restructuring, and private equity practices.
  • Assume a pivotal role within deal teams, overseeing signings and closings, drafting debt commitment papers and credit documentation, etc.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a broad spectrum of secured lending matters, encompassing domestic and cross-border acquisitions, restructuring, reorganizations, and general corporate finance.
  • Participate actively in direct lending, special situation financings, out-of-court and in-court restructurings, and private equity-related corporate finance transactions.

 

Requirements:

  • Admission to and membership in good standing with the Texas Bar.
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience in debt finance.
  • Demonstrable experience as a key member of deal teams.
  • Prior responsibility for managing signings and closings, drafting debt commitment papers, and credit documentation preferred.

 

Education & Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal acumen in debt finance and corporate law.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in handling complex transactions with attention to detail.
