A law firm in Wilkesboro, NC, is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle foreclosure matters on behalf of the firm's clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for utilizing their legal knowledge and experience to facilitate the foreclosure process, including the preparation, review, and approval of foreclosure-related pleadings. This role involves handling all aspects of foreclosure matters, including contested foreclosures, participating in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings, as well as maintaining regular client meetings/updates. The ideal candidate should hold a Juris Doctorate, be dually barred in DC/MD, and be willing to travel routinely for court attendances within the state of Maryland.

Job Duties:

  • Manage foreclosure matters for the firm's clients.
  • Utilize legal expertise to navigate and facilitate the foreclosure process.
  • Prepare, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings.
  • Handle all aspects of foreclosure cases, including contested foreclosures.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, and in-person hearings.
  • Maintain regular client meetings and provide updates as needed.
  • Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate degree.
  • Dually barred in DC/MD and in good standing.
  • Willingness to travel routinely for court attendances within the state of Maryland.
  • Effective communication skills, including via client systems, email, and phone.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Dually barred in DC/MD and in good standing.
