Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in New York City is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for courtroom litigation and have a strong background in all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, witness preparation, and depositions. Law firm and federal clerkship experience are required, with trial experience highly preferred. Plaintiff-side litigation experience is considered a plus.

Duties:

• Conduct discovery and document review
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
• Take and defend depositions
• Participate in trial preparation and strategy meetings
• Research legal issues and provide analysis
• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on case strategy
• Represent clients in court hearings and proceedings

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience
• Law firm and federal clerkship experience
• Trial experience highly preferred
• Strong passion for courtroom litigation

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the Bar in New York
