This full-time position involves managing a diverse caseload, supervising legal support staff, and providing zealous representation for clients in matters involving USCIS, EOIR, and the Department of State. Location

• Fort Worth, Texas

Duties

• Manage an active caseload of immigration matters

• Prepare and submit filings for USCIS, Department of State, and EOIR

• Represent clients in removal proceedings and other EOIR hearings

• Draft and submit FOIA requests, conduct background checks, and obtain relevant court and police records

• Supervise and collaborate with paralegals to ensure accurate and timely filings

• Maintain thorough and organized client notes and case documentation

• Provide co-counseling support to other attorneys in the immigration department

• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to legal strategy sessions

• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, courts, and immigration officials

• Perform other legal duties as assigned by senior management

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Licensed to practice law in the United States

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

• Willingness to occasionally travel as needed

• Strong attendance and punctuality record

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction (Texas Bar preferred or willingness to waive in, if applicable)

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of immigration law and procedure, including:

  • Family-based immigration

  • Asylum, U visa, T visa, and VAWA petitions

  • Waivers and consular processing

  • Removal defense including cancellation of removal and adjustment of status before EOIR

• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities

• Strategic thinker with strong organizational and case management skills

• Client-focused approach with professionalism and empathy

• Comfortable supervising legal support staff and collaborating in a team environment
