A law firm based in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Professional Liability Associate Attorney to join a team-oriented and client-focused environment. This role offers the opportunity to practice law with a focus on civil defense litigation, particularly in matters of professional liability, employment, and insurance coverage. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal representation and counsel in civil defense litigation cases, particularly in professional liability matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and arguments.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in all aspects of the litigation process, including depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and achieve client objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 2+ years of legal experience.
  • Interest in civil defense litigation, with a focus on professional liability, employment, and insurance coverage.
  • Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Ohio or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.

 

Education:

JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Ohio or eligibility for admission by reciprocity.
