Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney for its Jacksonville, FL office.

Job Overview:

• Handle various commercial litigation cases, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and providing comprehensive legal analysis.
• Prepare and argue motions, attend court hearings, and visit clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and communication, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with firm policies.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on various commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the litigation process.
• Assist in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions.
• Provide legal analysis and strategy recommendations to partners and clients.
• Keep abreast of developments in commercial litigation law and related fields.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Florida Bar.
• Previous experience in commercial litigation work or related practice areas is preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow you to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
