Duties

• Manage first-party property insurance claims on behalf of insurance carriers

• Conduct examinations under oath and depositions

• Draft detailed insurance coverage opinions

• Handle litigation involving third-party defense claims

• Prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and motion practice

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues on claim evaluations and defense strategies

Requirements

• 5–12 years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation

• Strong background handling first-party insurance matters

• Prior experience taking depositions and conducting examinations under oath (required)

• Experience drafting legal coverage opinions and managing third-party claims (preferred)

• Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of California (required)
