Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm, based in Philadelphia, is seeking a talented associate attorney to join their Public and Project Finance Group. The firm represents a diverse range of clients, including borrowers, developers, investment banks, issuers, and lenders, in public and project finance transactions. These projects cover a wide array of sectors, such as renewable energy, housing, healthcare, water and sewer, and educational facilities, along with various other private and public infrastructure endeavors. The firm is looking for an individual with a solid understanding of public and/or project finance documentation and/or tax equity experience, as well as proven experience in closing transactions. The role promises significant client interaction and opportunities for professional development.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in public and project finance transactions across various sectors, including energy, housing, and infrastructure projects.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate finance transaction documents.

  • Assist in structuring and closing complex financing deals, with an emphasis on renewable energy, healthcare, and other infrastructure projects.

  • Engage directly with clients, investment banks, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution.

  • Contribute to business development and marketing efforts, including client outreach and participation in industry conferences.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless transaction execution and client satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of public, project, or other finance-related transactional experience.

  • Experience with finance documentation, including familiarity with tax equity.

  • Proven track record of successfully closed transactions.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong client communication and relationship-building skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar license in Pennsylvania (preferred).

  • Bar license in other jurisdictions (such as Colorado and Minnesota) is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of public and project finance law.

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Business development acumen and interest in client relationships.

  • Team player with the capacity to handle significant responsibility early in the role.
