A law firm in Santa Monica is seeking a Mid-Level Life Sciences Corporate Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience in corporate and transactional matters, focusing on capital markets. The ideal candidate will work with venture-backed private and public companies, engaging in a spectrum of transactions, including equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance, preferably with exposure to public company work and registered equity offerings.

Duties:

• Engage in transactions involving equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance for venture-backed private and public life sciences companies.
• Demonstrate experience in public company work, registered equity offerings (IPOs, follow-on offerings), and a preference for working with life sciences companies.
• Display capability in team collaboration and managing significant transactional components independently.
• Show proficiency in legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing legal counsel.

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in corporate and transactional matters, emphasizing capital markets.
• Preference for experience or keen interest in life sciences companies.
• Exceptional academic credentials and comparable law firm experience.
• Relevant Bar admission or eligibility to promptly obtain admission.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Bar admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
