Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel attorney to join its litigation practice, specializing in complex product liability cases with a focus on Daubert and Rule 702 motions. This attorney will support pharmaceutical and medical device litigation nationwide, contribute to high-level strategy, and oversee key legal writing and case development tasks. This is a full-time hybrid position available in multiple U.S. cities.

Location:

  • Raleigh, NC

Duties:

  • Draft and review motions, legal memoranda, discovery responses, and briefs

  • Lead Rule 702 and Daubert motion practice in complex litigation

  • Manage and supervise litigation associates and support staff

  • Collaborate with expert witnesses on litigation strategy and preparation

  • Communicate with clients on case progress and legal strategy

  • Assist in factual investigations and deposition preparation

  • Contribute to case planning and overall litigation strategy development

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience

  • Background in AmLaw 100 or similarly structured law firm preferred

  • Experience in writing and arguing Daubert and Rule 702 motions

  • Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical or medical device litigation

  • Proven ability to lead and manage legal teams on large-scale matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic record from a nationally recognized institution

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in the state of application

  • Admission to the New York Bar is highly encouraged

Skills:

  • Advanced legal research and writing capabilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in written work

  • Strong business judgment and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Ability to mentor junior lawyers and manage caseloads effectively

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Organizational efficiency in fast-paced environments

  • Proficiency in case development and litigation technology tools
