The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent academic credentials, legal abilities, and exceptional writing and research skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance coverage issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings related to insurance matters.
  • Collaborate with clients, insurance companies, and internal teams to develop case strategies.
  • Provide legal advice on insurance-related issues and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods when applicable.
  • Stay updated on changes in insurance laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of North Carolina or eligibility for reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials, with a requirement of being in the top 25% of their law school class.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in North Carolina or eligibility for reciprocity.
