Senior Attorney needed for New York City office

Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly skilled Senior Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil litigation, particularly in state and federal courts. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for effectively communicating with clients, lawyers, and third parties, producing high-quality work products, and meeting deadlines while fostering positive work relationships.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
• Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
• Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
• Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
• Foster positive work relationships within the firm.
• Comply with all firm policies and practices.
• Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
• Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience with civil litigation in state and federal courts.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions, managing a case docket, and appearing in court is preferred.
• Experience handling multi-district litigation is a plus.
• Trial experience is highly desirable.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive in.
