Job Overview: A law firm based in Washington, DC, is seeking a Mid-Level Private Equity Debt Finance Associate Attorney with specific experience representing private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and negotiating commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents.

Duties:

  • Represent private equity sponsors, banks, and private credit lenders in connection with term and revolving loan facilities for leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and corporate growth.
  • Draft and negotiate commitment papers, credit agreements, and collateral documents.
  • Provide legal counsel and strategic advice to clients regarding debt finance transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to debt finance matters.
  • Assist with due diligence investigations and documentation review.

Requirements:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Mid-level experience in debt finance transactions.
  • Experience representing private equity sponsors and/or banks preferred.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • DC Bar admission or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • DC Bar admission (or eligibility to obtain admission promptly).
