Job Overview: A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Family Law Attorney to assist in managing family law cases. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Duties:

  • Assist supervising attorney in the management of family law cases
  • Prepare letters, pleadings, declarations, lodgments, attachments to subpoenas, financial disclosures, mediation, and trial briefs
  • Propound and respond to discovery, prepare to meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
  • Conduct telephone and email contact with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits
  • Develop witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memorandums
  • Track billable time

Requirements:

  • Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
  • 5 years of experience desired
  • A fast learner with strong analytical skills and oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills
  • Highly motivated professional who can take initiative and work well within a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:
